CE (Conformité Européenne) is a form of self-certification by the producer which allows for the access and free circulation of products within the European market provided the producer certifies their complete compliance with applicable EC directives. Said mark guarantees consumers that the certified product possesses the basic requirements regarding safety of use; compliance which may also be certified solely for marketing purposes.
