Electromagnetic Compatibilty (EMC) – Directive 2004/108/EC

The Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive (EMC) concerns all organisations belonging to the electric and electronic industries. According to said Directive - 2004/108/EC – products related to these sectors must comply with specific electromagnetic emission and immunity parameters in order to access the European market. On the one hand, electromagnetic disturbance generated by electric and electronic equipment must allow for the correct functioning of other radio and telecommunication devices, while on the other, the products placed on the market must have an intrinsic level of electromagnetic immunity which allows them to operate in a correct manner for their designated use.
