BS OHSAS 18001

BS OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health & Safety Assessment Series) is a voluntary international standard which defines the requirements for an Occupational Health and Safety Management System. Issued by BSI (British Standard Institute), it extends the concept of Total Quality and ISO 9000 and ISO 14001 methodology to the areas of health and safety, defining a corporate model comprising procedures, instruments, resources and activities to prevent and control risks in the workplace in a tangible manner.
